Covid 19 Situation Under Control In This State, Finally Good News For Indians

Congratulating people of Delhi, CM Arvind Kejriwal said COVID-19 situation is very much under control in the national capital.

Thanking all the stakeholders, including the central government, 'corona warriors' and different organisations, Kejriwal said they served COVID-19 infected patients regardless of their lives. I bow to all of you, said the CM.

“Today COVID-19 situation is very much under control in Delhi. I congratulate the people of Delhi. They have done phenomenal work in the past few years. In the last 5 years when pollution was increasing everywhere, Delhi was probably the only city where people helped decrease it by 25 per cent,” he said.

'I bow to all corona warriors'

Wishing all the countrymen, the CM said, “Today is also the day to remember all those brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our country and who did penance all their lives to get the country liberated.”

We are not going to open schools in Delhi unless we are fully convinced, he said adding that his government will bring Delhi’s economy back on track and efforts are being made for this.

Delivering his Independence Day speech at Delhi Secretariat, the chief minister said the safety and the health of school children are very important to the AAP government.

Kejriwal said it was Delhi which “gave the model” of home isolation and plasma therapy concept to the country in combating the deadly pandemic.

This year the city government shifted its Independence Day event to the Delhi Secretariat from Chhatrasal Stadium due to the coronavirus pandemic.

India's COVID-19 tally crosses 25 lakh with 65,002 cases

Meanwhile, India recorded a spike of 65,002 cases taking the country’s COVID-19 tally past 25 lakh on Saturday, just a day after it crossed the 24 lakh mark.

The number of fatalities neared 50,000 with 996 deaths, said the Union Health Ministry data.

According to figures from the ministry, 18.08 lakh people have so far recuperated from the disease, pushing the recovery rate to 71.61 per cent.

Since August 7, India has been reporting over 60,000 cases daily except August 11 when 53,601 new instances of the infection were recorded
